May Rosinah Amelia Webster was born on 20 March 1880 in Bethnal Green, Hackney, Middlesex, England. She was the third born (first daughter) of William James Webster (1853-1928) and Elizabeth Amelia Aburn (1853-1938). Her parents had married 1874 in Whitechapel in England. May shared one of her middle names (Amelia) wth her mother.

May married Claude Vernon Ittner (6 July 1892 - 29 December 1970) on 1 September 1916 in West Ham, Essex, England.

May and Vernon had two children Ruth Ittner (12 January 1918 - 3 June 2010) and Bruce Ittner (27 September 1919 - 6 September 2011). Both children were born in Birmingham, England.

May died in Seatlle, USA in March 1962.
